Born out of the Covid Pandemic, the remote monitoring service started as a simple service offering pulse oximetry and monitoring to patients with a new Covid positive diagnosis and a known health problem that made them particularly at risk of complications. After being thoroughly tested during the pandemic, the service has now expanded and provided remote monitoring to care homes, diabetic patients, respiratory patients, and many others. By working directly with patients and empowering them to be involved in the monitoring of their own health conditions, the service allows for early clinical intervention when indicated and therefore improving health outcomes and reducing acute hospital admissions.
